Job Title: QA Manager
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Location: Telford, Shropshire

Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious QA Manager to join their business.
Reporting into the Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
HACCP Implementation:
* Ensure effective implementation, maintenance, and achievement of HACCP requirements for top-tier food safety.
Risk Evaluation and Control:
* Play a pivotal role in evaluating risks and defining controls before introducing new processes, products, or raw materials.
Quality Management Systems:
* Understand, implement, and review quality management systems associated with food production to uphold safety and quality standards.
Audit System Management:
* Implement, maintain, and review an audit system, ensuring critical procedures for product safety, legality, and quality are in place.
* Collaborate with the Technical Manager to manage audits and non-conformance reports.
Effective Communication:
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to meet technical needs.
*Support the Technical Manager and deputize in their absence.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and inspire the Quality Assurance team.
*Manage recruitment, training, and development to ensure optimal team performance.
KPI Management:
* Generate technical business KPI information.
* Communicate trends and proactively address issues to drive continuous improvement.
Safety and Standards:
* Ensure a safe working environment for the QA team, meeting H&S manual standards.
* Enforce the company's quality standards for every product.
Root Cause Analysis:
* Investigate non-conformities in raw materials and product quality.
* Identify root causes and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
Quality Plan Development:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Plan aligned with the company's quality objectives.
Collaboration:
*Collaborate with colleagues to address concerns.
*Identify training needs and foster a culture of quality awareness throughout the production process.
Quality Culture Improvement:
* Drive the Quality Culture Improvement Plan, contributing to continuous enhancement of quality standards.
