SalaryWe have a fantastic opportunity for a qualified QA or SHEQ Engineer to join a local manufacturer with a view to succeeding the current SHEQ Manager when they retire in 18 months time.
The SHEQ Manager will be working part-time from January so this will be an opportunity for you to learn the ropes from a long-standing and respected manager, but also having the alone time to take on the additional responsibilities as your knowledge and confidence grows. The business is committed to having a smooth transition over a considerable period where you will be given full support of the team whilst you develop into a fully-fledged Manager in your own right.
As this is a manufacturing business with a strong eye on fabrication, it s an absolute non-negotiable that you will come from some kind of engineering background. You will be able to read technical drawings, produce accurate quality documentation and perform inspection and testing procedures.
Our Non-Negotiables
- At least 3 years in a QA/SHEQ role
- Minimum ONC engineering qualification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using the likes of 8D, 5 Why s and Kaizen methods
The initial salary will be GBP35,000 - GBP40,000 DOE plus an annual bonus. Upon a successful step up to manager in 18-months, an increased package will be offered in line with your new responsibilities. You will get 33 days holiday including stats, a holiday loyalty scheme, and flexi-time.
Interviews will take place in the next couple of weeks with a view to the successful person starting in the new year.
