We offer best in class benefits, health, dental, vision, 401k Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Permanent QA Supervisor in the Food Manufacturing sector of our Engineering department. This role is integral to ensuring the top-notch quality and safety of our food products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and enforcement of quality assurance measures, food safety programs, and regulatory compliance. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality, contributing to our commitment to provide excellent products to our consumers. Responsibilities: 1. Oversee the daily operations of the QA department, ensuring all activities align with company policies, USDA regulations, and GMP's.
2. Implement and enforce food safety and quality assurance protocols, including SQF, PCQI, and HACCP.
3. Conduct regular audits to identify areas of improvement, ensure compliance, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
4. Collaborate with the production team to ensure consistent quality of products, address quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
5. Train and mentor QA staff on food safety principles, quality assurance measures, and regulatory requirements.
6. Evaluate and improve existing QA systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Liaise with regulatory bodies such as the USDA and OSHA, ensuring all operations are compliant with federal and state regulations.
8. Handle customer complaints, investigate the causes, and implement corrective actions.
9. Participate in the development and review of product specifications, ensuring they meet regulatory and customer requirements.
10. Monitor and maintain documentation related to food safety and quality assurance activities. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a QA supervisory role in the Food Manufacturing industry, preferably with meat and poultry products.
3. Strong knowledge of food safety principles and quality assurance measures, including SQF, PCQI, HACCP, OSHA, USDA, and GMP's.
4. Proven experience in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
9. Proficiency in using quality management systems and related software.
