QA Test Engineer - London - Permanent

£30k-£55k per annum

Great opportunity for a driven QA Test Engineer to join an exciting technology company.

They're currently expanding their technical team and looking for a QA Test Engineer who has experience with scripting.

Responsibilities

• Gain an in-depth knowledge of our whole product range and how they interact with other equipment
• Familiarise with industry terminology
• Testing both hardware and software range for updates, patches, fixes and in the process of a product being developed
• Review functional and technical documentation
• Prepare test plans, test specifications, test cases & scripts
• Derive and prepare test data
• Carry out structured testing and ad hoc investigations
• Improve existing test coverage
• Prepare and present summary reports
• Maintain records of testing
• Report bugs accurately and correctly using our internal bug database
• Track and monitor bugs to closure
• Liaise with the Development team to resolve issues

Skills/Qualification Requirements

Essential:

• Experience with a variety of test methodologies and techniques
• PC hardware literate
• Some sort of programming and scripting experience
• Knowledge of bug tracking systems such as JIRA
• Strong analytical, diagnostic and creative problem solving skills
• Good communication skills

Desirable:

Experience with video or graphics editing tools e.g. After Effects

Skills in any of the following areas would be a benefit:

• Networking
• Audio
• System architecture
• Automated testing and test driven development
• Gaming industry experience
• Media Server experience
