Quadient Developer (Inside IR35)

Contract Term: 3-6 Months

Contracting Authority: HMRC

Location: Hybrid working (Flexible on location with requirement to attend a HMRC Hub when required)

As a Quadient Developer your main responsibilities will be: 

• To create and amend output, using Quadient (GMC) Inspire for composition and orchestration activities for both print and digital transmission. To deliver technological change against a background of organisational transformation, as well as an opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives by delivering great digital and paper products. A key member of the team, collaborating with all members throughout the full delivery lifecycle to ensure delivery of highest-quality personalised omni-channel products. To work with data in flat, structured and print ready data formats, using Quadient Inspire to enhance print-ready data and use this knowledge and that of print stream formats, including AFP, Adobe PDF, Postscript and PCL. You will have a knowledge of testing procedures and a knowledge of configuration issues.

Essential:

• Be an experienced direct mail and/or transactional document composition programmer, with professional experience of document composition in Quadient Inspire. Interactive/Designer/Automation Have practical experience of working with coding languages, such as C++, C#, Java Have demonstrable understanding of electronic (HTML) communications. Experience in leading investigative work into problems at a senior level, driving the collection of information and creation of recommendations for improvements. Ability to work at pace to effectively resolve issues.

Desirable

• GMC Certifications for Inspire Designer and Automation. Understanding of Linux operating system. Good knowledge of Unix commands to administer the live database. Knowledge and understanding of SQL, server and other database technologies. Eligibility for and successful Security Clearance following application to oversee live customer information on the HMRC estate.
