Join our specialist child exploitation team and improve outcomes for some of Hampshire's most vulnerable children
The Willow team is the Hampshire Children’s Services Department’s specialist child exploitation team. The team works with children either at High levels of exploitation risk or being exploited. This includes sexual and criminal exploitation as well as county lines (CSE, CL, CCE), we also work with Modern Day Slavery, missing children and trafficking as well as unaccompanied children.
The team takes cases for Children and Families assessments from MASH at both S47 and S17 level as well as nominated cases to which Social Workers will offer direct work. A key role is the direct work to children and offering advice and guidance to district teams on exploitation.
The team is multi agency and we have close links with partners across health, sexual health, education, third sector, YOT and Police specialist teams.
The Willow Team is a busy, demanding, and dynamic area of Children’s Services, often working with hard to reach children who can be at the highest risk. Social Workers are expected to be efficient in their decision making and able to prioritise their work to meet business demands. You must be a team player and able to support the whole team with complex tasks.
You will have a social work qualification and will offer post-qualifying experience of complex children and family work including knowledge of child exploitation issues and direct work with children. You will also set high professional standards and maintain them. Above all, you will have a desire to help shape and develop a commitment to improving the outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children.
