We are looking for a Children Residential Support Worker to join our team in Stoke-On-trent. You will be working with children and young people aged 8-18 who have complex needs, such as learning disabilities, autism, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and trauma.
As a Children Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
Providing high-quality care and support to the children and young people in the residential homeBuilding positive and trusting relationships with them and helping them to develop their confidence and independenceSupporting them with their daily routines such as, education, health, and leisure activitiesEnsuring their safety and wellbeing at all times and following safeguarding policies and proceduresWorking as part of a team and communicating effectively with colleagues, managers, and other professionalsParticipating in training and development opportunities and maintaining your professional standardsTo be successful in this role, you will need:A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent qualificationExperience of working with children and young people in a residential setting or similar environmentA positive and flexible attitude and a willingness to learn and growA compassionate and empathetic approach and a genuine interest in children and young people's welfareA valid UK driving licence and access to a car #
