Job Description:
Central Bedfordshire are looking to hire a hard-working and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Adult Learning Disabilities Team on a temporary basis. As a Qualified Social Worker in this team, you will play a vital role in providing support, guidance, and intervention to adults with learning disabilities within the Central Bedfordshire community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing assessments to determine the needs and requirements of adults with learning disabilities.
- Developing and implementing care packages tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and well-being.
- Providing ongoing support and advocacy for individuals and their families, ensuring access to appropriate services and resources.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, support workers, and community agencies, to coordinate suitable care.
- Conducting safeguarding investigations and taking appropriate action in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of interventions, assessments, and service user progress.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration (SWE).
- Over 2 years experience working within adult social care, preferably within a learning disabilities setting.
- A good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to adult social work.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with service users, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
