Responsibilities:
- Social Workers within the assessment teams are responsible for single assessments, and work with families up to initial child protection conferences where necessary.
- The focus of the team is to deliver good quality services to children through assessments which take account of historical information, culture, disability and the voice of children.
To be considered for the Social Worker role you ideally will have:
- Have 1-3 + years' experience of working within a similar social work setting
- Registered with Social Work England
- BSc Social Work or equivalent
- A passion for achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work
- A creative and innovative approach
- Experience of writing assessments and outcome-focused plans with children and families
- All Social Workers must be resident in Jersey on a full-time basis ( permanent roles are not for residents to travel to and from Jersey at weekends)
