Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Liverpool City Council's Early Help Team as a Consultant Social Worker. This is a full time role offering a fantastic pay rate of £42 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Undertaking audits of case work completed by Outreach Family Support Workers and Early Help Social Workers to support practice development.
• The audits will focus on the child's 'lived experience' as well as quality and impact of practice to promote practice improvement across the service.
• Collate thematic findings in audit reports to be shared across the service.
• Provide counselling services to children aged 8-18 years.
• Help support their emotional wellbeing in relation to childhood trauma.
• Early Help has a new project with a high school to provide counselling services to students who are struggling in mainstream classes.
• Hold a caseload of 10 children.
• Complete a therapeutic assessment.
• Deliver 14 sessions of 1:1 therapeutically informed support to the child/young person.

Requirements:

• Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Social Work England registered
• Enhanced DBS
• Counselling qualification with either adults or children or specific training in a therapeutic model (eg CBT/person centered counselling etc).
