Background


Hugh James, a highly ranked top 100 law firm based in the centre of Cardiff, is currently looking to recruit a Quality Administrator to join their Quality & Risk Department.


The role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the team with administrative duties, to ensure compliance with the Firm’s internal control environment. The primary focus of this position will be compliance and operational administrative activities, duties will include:

  • Maintaining audit records
  • Assisting the Quality Manager in preparing audit documentation for external audits
  • Maintaining the firm’s complaint database
  • Assisting with the administration of the firm’s databases and portals
  • Assisting the wider Quality and Risk team with administrative support
  • Running and circulating quality reports
  • Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with all levels of management

Qualifications, skills and experience


Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be provided but the successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be methodical in their approach.

The role requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to make good judgments based upon observations and supporting information is essential.

The ability to understand quality and regulatory standards is essential and experience of working in a legal environment would be advantageous

This role may be desirable to someone who is currently in an administrative or secretarial role who is looking for a new opportunity to develop their skills.
