Serco have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Co-ordinator to join our site in RNAS Culdrose, Helston.
Serco are proud to support the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) at Royal Navy Air Station Culdrose, that delivers services ranging from the repair and maintenance of Military aircraft
- and off aircraft support services. Culdrose is one of the Navy`s two principal air bases, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK.The key purpose of this role is to fulfil the duties of the Integrated Merlin Operational Support (IMOS) Internal Quality Assurance Coordinator (QACo ord) in accordance with Leonardo Depth Operating Procedures (DOP), the Serco Safety Management System (SMS) and individual Engineering Authorisations in support of the IMOS Contract at RNAS Culdrose.
Main accountabilities:
- The IMOS QA Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all IMOS personnel adhere to applicable Quality Systems, Health and Safety and Environmental policies, actively minimising risk to individuals employed in potentially hazardous environments
- Ensuring any Quality Occurrence Reports (QOR’s) raised or received by the IMOS Contract are monitored and remedial action taken as required. To publish and implement the IMOS Annual Audit Plan, carrying out audits and monitoring all remedial action required.
- Ensure all contracted tasks are carried out in accordance with current Customer Policy and Regulations and other applicable statutory Regulations.
Essential requirements for the role:
- Must be a Lead Auditor
- Be educated to a minimum of HNC level or equivalent in a relevant aviation related subject or have completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship followed by at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Hold as a minimum a National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) Certificate or equivalent Health and Safety Qualification
- Have a thorough understanding of rotary wing military (aviation) procedures.
- Have the ability to exercise airworthiness maintenance authority.
- Completed or have the ability to complete Maintenance Human Factors Course.
- Good working knowledge of the following:
- Merlin Aircraft Engineering and Aircraft Systems
- Merlin Aircraft Servicing and Support Equipment.
- Project Planning and Lean Operating Procedures.
- Naval Air Publications and Compound – Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (C-IETP).
- Health and Safety, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, Tool Control and Quality Practices.
