We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance, Data and Student Support Assistant within our Undergraduate Office in the School of Medicine, to support our QA, Data and Student Support Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team providing administration support for a range of services for students, academics, NHS clinicians and professional services staff related to Quality Assurance, student feedback, data, and Student Support. You will report to the QA, Data and Student Support Team Lead in the first instance and will support the team with data requests, Quality Assurance activities, documentation updates, Measurement of Teaching, Student Support activities and related administration.

Based in Ninewells Hospital, one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals, the School of Medicine provides outstanding medical education and training supported by world class research facilities.

Your priorities will include:

• Assist with the preparation of paperwork for Quality Assurance related activities.


• Take an active role in liaising with staff within the School and the central Quality Assurance Team to ensure all QA processes are followed as required at institutional level.


• Responsible for the annual submission of programme student handbooks to the QA office.


• Work with staff in the development and updating of resources and processes such as templates, guidance documents and other information.


• Assist in the preparation of workload modelling and Measurement of Teaching (MOT) data for annual reporting.


• Assist with organising site visits for Quality Assurance visits.


• Provide cross cover support across the department.


• Ensure that External Examiner recruitment and payment follows guidelines and ensure that a courteous, efficient service is provided.


• Ensure that student feedback is sent out in a timely manner and ensure that copies are distributed to the relevant people.


• Assist the Student Support team with logging changes to student registration on programmes, student withdrawals, monitoring of attendance and student progression data maintenance.


• Assist the Student Support team to facilitate the Occupational Health (OH) student assessments, providing information documents and support for students completing the application process.


• Provide administrative support for Committee Meetings and take accurate minutes.

• Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in a busy environment with competing demands


• An ability to bring new ideas and suggest improvements


• Accurate data entry skills and an ability to use spreadsheets and databases
