Job Role Summary:
To take an active role within the Quality Health Safety and Environment Department, to ensure Project Quality requirements are met, and the Company complies with relevant regulatory standards, minimises costs of reworking and waste, makes quality improvements and maximises customer satisfaction with the end product.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Take an active role within the Quality Health Safety and Environment Department (QHSE), ensuring all activities undertaken are done so accurately and in a timely manner
·         Undertake both internal and external QHSE audits
·         Take a lead role in customer and certification audits and to flow down all relevant contract requirements
·         Provide a high level of Quality support to the Project teams
·         Take an active role in the Company continuous improvement activities
·         Participate and take an active role in all relevant Company management meetings and reviews
·         Participate and take an active role in ensuring Company procedures are kept up to date
·         Undertake inspection of purchased products at the supplier’s premises and at the point of receipt at Norwich factory
·         Check, clear and collate internal and supplier product records for the compilation of contract data dossiers
·         Conduct investigations of quality issues arising within the business.
·         Support Purchasing Department in their dealings with suppliers. This will include site visits in the UK and potentially world wide.
·         Participate in ensuring the machines made in other group factories meets the company’s quality system. This will entail frequent travel to China.
·         Arrange and organise the provision of training for Personal Protective Equipment and QHSE
·         Assist in the production and dissemination of Company Key Performance Indicators
·         Support Project Management with the production of Manufacturing Inspection Test Plans and customer QHSE specification and commitments
·         Carry out other tasks as may be reasonably requested by Line Manager, that are within the role holder’s ability
                                                              
Education / Qualification Requirements:
Essential:
·         HNC in an Engineering discipline
 
Preferred:
·         Certified Auditor to IS9001 requirements
Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
·         Experience of working in a Quality Assurance role in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Supplier Quality Assurance   
 
Knowledge and understanding of, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
·         Experience in undertaking internal and external QHSE audits
·         Experience in customer and certification audits

Desirable:
·         Writing and manipulating information in spreadsheets and databases
The successful candidate must be a British National as working on MOD projects and required security clearance
