The OpportunityIn this role, you will be supporting colleagues within the smart metering technical Quality Assurance team both to maximise performance and contributions to meet future needs of the business, ensuring skill and knowledge sharing takes place, whilst adhering to appropriate Health and Safety guidelines and supporting the goal of incident free performance within Smart Metering. What you’ll be doing As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be carrying out our annual monitoring and inspection plan for Smart metering installs. Additional Quality Assurance checks of dual fuel metering work and over the shoulder checks on both EDF field operatives and Contracting partners to ensure that they are carrying out metering installations to the correct standards required by EDF. You will be expected to rectify any faults found whilst on site and assist the SMI departments as and when required.
You will be supplied with all tools, equipment, uniform, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). company van, fuel card and mobile phone.
**Opportunities where applicable will arise for additional training and upskilling to three phase, Gas medium pressure and EV** Who you are To be a Quality Assurance Inspector at EDF means you must be Dual Fuel qualified in Smart Metering. Experience in incident investigation, statement writing, and reports would be an advantage. We’re looking for someone conscientious, enthusiastic, diplomatic with a focus on health and safety. Who has excellent communication and IT skills as you will be undertaking, Quality Assurance inspections of dual fuel smart metering installations, customer complaint investigations, Ad hoc duties as and when required.
Travel and overnight stays may be required so you must hold a valid driving licence and have a flexible approach to the role.
