Alexander Steele is recruiting a QA Manager for a global food manufacturing business based in central Bedfordshire. Reporting directly into the Head of Technical, you will be responsible for driving a culture of Quality Assurance and continuous improvement throughout the business. The role holder will ensure the highest level of accreditation is maintained for BRC and all customer requirements are met fully.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure the quality systems are implemented throughout the site.
- Ensure all Audit standards are met on site as outlined in the BRC 9 requirements.
- Analyse quality-related data and generate reports to communicate key performance indicators to key stakeholders of the business.
- Maintain site HACCP, ensure relevant meetings are caried out and documents are up to date.
- Lead, manage, coach and guide quality team in all aspects of Food safety and hygiene.
Background Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience working in a technical/quality management roles.
- A degree in food science would be desirable.
- Knowledge of current legislation, quality systems and retailer and certification standards.
- Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HACCP and the practical operation of HACCP systems.
- Driving license is essential.
