Here at Bow, we have a team of around 800 colleagues. We produce sandwiches, wraps, platters, sub rolls and salads for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Sainsbury's, Co-op, Asda, Morrisons and BP Wild Bean Café.
What you'll be doing
As Quality Manager (Sunday to Thursday - 7am till 4pm) your role will be to lead and co-ordinate the work of the Quality Assurance teams to deliver and implement service improvement, in line with operational day to day needs with regards to safety, quality, legality and customer requirements.
To engage proactively with the Production Department to ensure that all finished products are manufactured to the specified customer quality standards.
To assist in managing audits conducted by customers, statutory bodies, third party audit bodies or internal Greencore Group auditors.
Generate and trend key technical KPI information and work closely with associated departments to ensure targets are met and adverse trends are arrested.
To implement and monitor Listeria Strategy 'Top 10' factory level action plan working cross functionally to ensure delivery targets are met.
To lead and support the 'Principle Based' audit programme through consistency of audit standards and efficacy of results measured through the QAS team.
To continue to develop the capability of the QA team through the Technical Strategy 'Team Capability' HLI

Internal audit experience
Relevant food manufacturing experience
HACCP principles and practice
Allergen awareness-implications / related to labelling
Hygiene & disinfection principles
Basic micro awareness
Basic knowledge of Weight legislation
Knowledge of technical KPIs
Food degree or equivalent qualification and or relevant experience
Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate level 3
Level 3 Health and Safety
Nutritional awareness
Shelf life determination and awareness
Principles of risk assessment
Legal labelling -basic requirements
