Our client is a well established life science company working to improve quality of life for their users working alongside the NHS, healthcare professionals and patients. They are always looking to improve products and services through research and engaging with healthcare professionals and patients. Due to company expansion they're looking to add a Quality Assurance Manager to the team to be based in Ireland.
The Quality Assurance Manager will ideally be a Responsible Person (RP) or should be looking to become one. The chosen candidate will be keeping up and operating the GDP systems for the company ensuring all conditions of the Wholesale Dealer's Licence are met and ensure Quality Assurance enhancements are implemented as required.
Candidates should have a grounding in life sciences or medical home use products and have a track record in GDP.
Responsibilities:
- The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure that a quality management system is implemented and maintained
- Management of authorised activities and the accuracy and quality of records
- Approve initial and continuous training programme for all personnel involved in distribution activities
- Co-ordinate and perform any recall operations of medicinal products alongside QP as required
- Ensure relevant customer complaints are dealt with effectively
- The Quality Assurance Manager will perform the qualification and approval of suppliers and customers, ensuring patients are only delivered to who have valid documents
- Approve any contracts specifying respective responsibilities relating to wholesale distribution and/or transportation of medicinal products
- Ensure that self-inspections are performed at appropriate regular intervals following a prearranged programme and necessary corrective measures are put in place
- The Quality Assurance Manager will be delegating duties when absent and keeping appropriate records relating to any delegation
- Be involved in any decision to quarantine or dispose of returned, rejected, recalled or falsified products
- Ensure any additional requirements imposed on certain products by national law are adhered to
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience of working in a quality control environment
- GDP (good distribution practice)
- Either education commensurate to a Quality Assurance Manager role OR practical experience
- Responsible Person (RP) desirable but not a deal breaker
- IT skills, with the ability to document
- Ability to travel to required locations/sites across Ireland
