The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK’s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing Quality Assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality products or services. As a key player in our organization, the Quality Assurance Manager will lead efforts to establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality standards.

Key Responsibilities


Quality Planning and Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Assurance strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics, goals, and targets.


Quality Assurance Processes:
Design, implement, and manage robust Quality Assurance processes to ensure product/service conformity and customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular reviews of processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Testing and Inspection:
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing protocols to validate product functionality and performance.
Oversee inspection processes to ensure incoming materials and finished products meet quality standards.
Liaise with suppliers about defects and implement improvement plans.


Quality Metrics and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and monitor performance against established metrics.
Generate regular reports on quality metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.


Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about industry regulations and standards, ensuring that quality processes comply with relevant requirements.
Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to support regulatory submissions and compliance activities.


Root Cause Analysis and Problem Resolution:
Lead investigations into quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address systemic quality issues and prevent recurrence.


Training and Development:
Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain quality standards.
Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Assurance, Engineering, Life Sciences).
Proven experience in Quality Assurance, with a track record of implementing and managing quality processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail with experience in applying problem solving methodologies, e.g. 8D, 3C.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Familiarity with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Experience with quality management systems and tools.
Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.
