A great opportunity has arisen to work with a small, friendly and successful GMP and UKAS accredited contract testing labs supporting healthcare industries in microbiological testing. Our client are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer with some existing QA experience from a GMP or UKAS environment to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:- Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those covering Health & Safety, ISO 17025 and GMP.
- Conducting training with staff in terms of quality matters, when needed.
- Follow up on updates/changes to publications with regards to GMP.
- Liaising with customers or regulatory representatives.
- Responding to external audit report findings, e.g. plan corrective actions, communicate with regulatory bodies or customers.
- Releasing necessary documentation externally in a controlled manner. Obtaining and maintaining necessary external documentation, when needed.
- Planning and conducting internal audits in line with company procedures.
- Perform microbiological quality control testing following the test procedures set out in the various company Testing Manuals.
- Read and record results of tests.
- Media and diluents preparation.
- Prepare and handle cultures of Bacteria, Mould and Yeast.
- Receive and log in samples for testing.
- Operate all pieces of laboratory equipment including performing calibrations.
- Deal with customers on a first line basis, if required
- Experience in a QA role working either to GMP and/or UKAS. This will preferably be from a testing laboratory but other environments are considered
- Have a relevant scientific degree
- Be a strong team player
- Have good attention to detail
- Confidence to independently suggest QA actions
- Due to location, private transport is essential unless you live in the Tideswell area.
