We are now looking for a 

Quality Assurance Specialist on Site (m/f/d)

to join our team working for a better future. 

The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany. 

What you will be doing 

As Quality Assurance Specialist on Site your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

• Responsible customer contact for all quality issues on shipyard in coordination with the Project Quality Manager (PQM)
• Prepare reliability and failure analysis for system deliveries according to general engineering rules, contractual requirements and/or classification society requirements
• Assist in the preparation and execution of Quality Assurance acceptance tests (FAT "Factory Acceptance Test", I+I "installation+integration", HAT "Harbor Acceptance Test", SAT "See Acceptance Test") for military projects
• Reviewing and evaluating the quality status of suppliers during the selection process
• Planning and monitoring of QA activities during production, including suppliers 
• Monitoring the quality level of product and system deliveries and supporting acceptance tests, both internally and with suppliers
• Planning, execution, and control of QA activities for integration/installation on shipyard and support of acceptance in the delivery process
• Handling of all product/process non-conformities (NC) related to installation work on the shipyard (recording NC, conducting root cause analysis if necessary, performing corrective/preventive actions, NC reporting)
• Contribute to business unit QA KPIs
• Support the preparation and follow-up of internal and external audits in coordination with PQM
• Develop measures to reduce warranty costs
• Communicate and report quality issues to the appropriate solution or product owner as well as to PQM and ensure follow-up activities (regular quality reporting such as participation in acceptance tests and existing and processed nonconformities).

You will shine in this role, when you have:

• Education as Master craftsman / technician in electrical engineering or comparable
• 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in the in the field of electrical installation on ships 
• Good knowledge of all relevant standards and regulations, especially in the field of military shipbuilding
• Good command of written and spoken English and German
• Knowledge of auditing
