Key Responsibilities:
As the Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for employing lean methodologies, statistical process control (SPC), and Six Sigma techniques to execute a range of Quality Assurance tasks.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, engineers, and production teams, to address non-conformances, concerns, and complaints.
- Take the lead in problem resolution, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing appropriate actions.
- Prepare 8D reports and provide feedback to customers.
- Conduct internal audits, recommend process improvements, and monitor results.
- Perform quality inspections for initial samples, production components, inventory, and finished goods.
- Review returned products for warranty claims, identify trends, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports for all stakeholders.
- Plan and manage the calibration status of all internal measuring and test equipment to guarantee accurate and reliable results.
- Provide support to other quality functions as needed, contributing to the overall success of our Quality Assurance efforts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrable use of Lean, SPC, and Six Sigma techniques.
- Ability to write reports, quality documentation, and 8D reports.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Accurate use of measuring equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
