We provide a combination of high-level consultancy services that identify software delivery risks for clients across different sectors and size. We implement the processes, tools and skills to deliver projects that focus on providing the client with certainty of delivery.


What will your day job look like?

As a QAT Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing Quality Assurance strategies and frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, project managers, product owners, and stakeholders, you will define quality standards, establish best practices, and drive continuous improvement in QA processes. Your focus on thought leadership, transformation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in achieving our quality objectives.


Your Responsibilities

  • Proven experience as a QAT Architect or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully designing and implementing Quality Assurance strategies and frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) - as well as delivery model options (High Performing, Sequential and Hybrid), Quality Assurance principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrable experience of designing in quality throughout the delivery pipeline as well as deep understanding of the ISO25010 product quality and quality in use characteristics.
  • Extensive experience with various testing tools and technologies, such as test management tools, defect tracking systems, and test automation frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw out the detail, analyse complex issues and identify solutions and areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to encourage collaboration cross 2i Chapter / Function and with client facing cross-functional teams and stakeholders of all levels.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a demonstrated track record of coaching, mentoring and leading QA teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills to persuade and secure buy-in from clients and delivery teams.
  • Ability to assess individual and consolidated tooling requirements and build integrated solutions that meet business objectives.


About You

  • Design and developed comprehensive quality strategies, policies, frameworks and processes to ensure the efficient and effective investigation of quality risks.
  • Experience of defining quality standards and guidelines for testing methodologies, test design, test execution, defect management, and test automation.
  • Collaborate with product and development teams to establish quality requirements, identify critical test areas, risk strategies and ensure testability and maintainability of software products.
  • Understanding of preventative, detective and corrective quality measures and experience of implementing in appropriate instances.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define and monitor key quality metrics, track and report on testing progress, and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Experience of working with project teams in the identification, mitigation and management of risks that may impact delivery of the pursued business goals.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of testing tools, frameworks, and technologies, ensuring they align with organisational goals and meet project requirements.
  • Support and educate internal and client facing teams on QA best practices, testing techniques, and Quality Assurance frameworks.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in the field of Quality Assurance and software testing, and evaluate their use to enhance our QA practices.
  • Strong experience of DevOps processes (containerisation, virtualisation) and how Quality Assurance integrates with each stage as well as benefits and outcomes.
  • Experience of operating across a range of industry domains e.g finance, retail, public and private sectors.
  • Ability to assess and recommend opportunity for adoption of test automation - including definition of value add and alignment with business values.
  • Understanding of and appreciation of how to apply Lean 3 way principles - systems thinking / feedback loops / continual learning.
  • Detailed understanding of the QAT practice model and its constituent parts as well as how it can be implemented.
  • Awareness of AI and ML capabilities and opportunities to supplement QA processes.
