Quality Auditor
You will be responsible for ensuring that quality is absolutely premium from the assembly line until the point of dispatch.
As a key member of the Technical team you will be focussed on communicating any quality issues to line management and ensuring products meet customer requirements and specifications.
To be considered for this role, you must possess a level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or above), plus the desire and passion to progress within a food manufacturing career.
· Audit Critical Control Points (CCPs), to ensure CCPs are under control.
· Monitoring temperature of chillers and freezers through daily manual checks using a calibrated probe. Conduct temperature checks on finished products.
· Counter sign and collect check sheets daily from production areas.
· Report any non-conformances as they arise to Technical Manager
· Calibration and verification of equipment as advised by the Technical Manager.
· Conduct Good Manufacturing Practice audits (GMP) audits
· Check products against factory product specifications, legality, and consistency in quality and report any out of specification.
· Check staff compliance to company hygiene rules reporting any issues to the Technical Manager.
· To work with the production teams on continuous improvement of technical control.
· To support NPD trials and product launches.
· Be flexible to assist with other jobs within Technical Department as required.
What you ‘ll need:
- Good understanding of GMP & Food Safety
- Basic understanding of HACCP and CCP
- Good understanding of the operation and products
- Good command of English both verbal and writing, sufficient to perform the job effectively
- Experience of HACCP principles, internal auditing
- Knowledge of implementing procedures and work instructions within Quality Management System
- Excellent communication and problem solving abilities
