An expanding company, who currently employ in excess of 500 staff members, they are keen to add to the quality management team, to enable them to continue to deliver an exceptional range of services to the FMCG and food sectors, to clients throughout the UK.
Working under the guidance of a proven Quality Manager, the Quality Auditor role is required to work across all departments to identify, lead, support and maintain continuous improvements.
Using internal audits and inspection programs, you will be instrumental in day-to-day changes and validation, through to incremental change and large-scale step changes.
Utilising your knowledge of continuous improvement process methodologies, as well as strong analytical communication skills, you will offer a hands-on-approach to compliment the existing team
Duties, include but not limited to:-
Devise and implement a scheduled internal audit programme, in relation to the risks associated with food safety and quality standards.
Audit business teams to maintain product safety, quality and legality, to comply with relevant standard.
Assist the management team in the investigation and resolution of non-conformities to identify root cause.
Maintain the management systems (QMS) including HACCP.
Contribute to the customer and third-party audits.
Maintain and update all QMS controlled documentation.
Review all new materials to identify risk of storage to other materials.
Support the ESGQ Manager with management review meetings.
Challenge colleagues, where appropriate to ensure best results achieved.
Document and communicate proposed change with due regard to SHE, Quality, HR, and warehouse / logistics.
To maintain the highest quality standards with due regard to the Customer’s requirements and in line with HACCP, BRCGS and any other internal or external legislation / audits.
Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders to maintain the highest standards.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Hold a recognised internal auditing qualification such as BRCGS Global Standards or ISO 9001.
Competent working knowledge of BRCGS standards for storage and distribution, and the Organic Food Federation Standards.
HACCP trained to Level 2
Computer literate - ideally a working knowledge of SAP.
Knowledge of ESG Principles (Desirable).
