To support our continued growth we are recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Manager. This role is responsible for leading the development of the QC laboratory in line with the company goals and strategy. The role involves overseeing all aspects of Quality Control testing, including raw materials assessment, in-process and finished product testing to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements both chemistry and microbiological testing.
We operate a hybrid working approach, due to the nature of this role the majority of time would be spent on site at our Sevenoaks location.
What You Will Be Doing
- Overseeing all aspects of Quality Control testing, including raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain product stability protocols, assess product shelf-life designation and extensions.
- Interfacing with 3rd party contract laboratories and repatriation of analytical testing to in-house laboratory.
- Developing and implementing robust Quality Control procedures, protocols, and methods. Reviewing and approving analytical data, reports, and documentation generated by the QC team.
- Investigating and resolving of quality issues or deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Contribute to the strategic planning for developing new services including Research and Development related to the QC department.
What You Will Need
- Proven success in managing or Supervision of QC laboratory and analysts within a GMP/ Control Laboratory setting.
- Educated to degree level/ eligible to be a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
- Significant experience in QC laboratory operations, Physical and Chemical testing including HPLC, FTIR, Disintegration testing, stability studies or equivalent microbiological testing. Post-holder must have a proven track record of overseeing laboratory activities and ensuring compliance with GMP/GcLP standards.
- Strong analytical skills, experience and competency in assessing data, identify trends, and troubleshooting issues within the laboratory. Capable of interpreting complex scientific information and making informed decisions.
