Kerry Collins Recruitment Ltd are supporting our client who are a leading provider within the food production industry recruit for an experienced Quality Control Specialist on a permanent basis. Our Wolverhampton based client are dedicated to delivering high-quality food products to their customers and they are looking for a skilled and experienced QC, to join the existing team as a result of their continuing growth and commitment to quality.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the adherence to quality standards during the manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Quality Control procedures, conducting inspections, and collaborating with various departments to uphold the company's commitment to excellence.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain Quality Control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to identify and address any quality issues.
  • Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement corrective action plans for quality improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of Quality Control processes, inspections, and test results.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on quality performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate quality-related issues to relevant stakeholders and contribute to the development of solutions.
  • Provide administrative support to the technical and Quality Control departments.
  • Assist in the administration of technical documentation, including product specifications, SOPs, and quality manuals.
  • Conduct training sessions for production staff on Quality Control procedures and best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Carry out and oversee internal and external audits, both announced and unannounced
  • Be aware of both customer and associated body requirements and expectations and plan/prepare accordingly

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • Proven experience in a Quality Control role within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in meat processing.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

The salary for this position is competitive, ranging between £20,000 and £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
