Quality Control Team Lead

Acorn by Synergie is excited to be recruiting a Quality Control Team Lead for a global pharmaceutical manufacturer at their North Devon site.
Main Scope of the role:
As a QC Lab Team Leader, you will support and mentor a small group of Analysts and work as part of a team to co-ordinate all Bulk/Packed Stock testing activities of the Quality Control Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day to day running of the laboratory.
- Planning the workload for all direct reports, identifying resources and decision making.
- Support and lead non-conformance investigations.
- Leading continuous improvement.
- Development and coaching an increasing team of 8-10 direct reports.
- Conflict resolution and culture cultivation
- Consistently meeting targets and KPI's
- Internal and external audits
- Compilation and reporting of statistics and analytical metrics.
Essential Skills and experience:
- A level (or equivalent) in Chemistry.
- Ideally a BSc or equivalent in a science discipline or similar STEM discipline.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Excel, creating formulas and Analytical knowledge.
Desirable experience
- Previous Team Leading experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to make suggestions to improve systems procedures.
Working hours:
* (35.5 hours per week), double day shift
* Week 1; Monday - Thursday 06:00am - 14:00pm, Friday 06:00am - 11:45am
(rotating to)
* Week 2; Monday- Thursday 14.00pm-22.00pm, Friday 11.45am-17.30pm
