Quality Controller

Be Personnel are delighted to be working with our new client recruiting for 2 x Quality Controllers on a temporary to permanent basis. If the successful candidates work well in their roles they will turn into a permanent opportunity.
The successful candidates will join a rapidly expanding business based in Errol, Perthshire to become an integral part of their Quality Control team with further expansion due in 2025. For these positions it is essential candidates have their own transport to and from work.
Hours:
Mon- Friday – Backshift: 13:45 – 22:00
Flexible QC (Primarily on Early shifts, but flexible for holidays cover): Early: Mon – Fri - 05:45 – 14:00 or Nights: Sun- Thurs - 21:45 – 06:00 but Sundays are 21:00 starts
Pay Rate:
£12.42 per hour and OT at £18.62 per hour
Whilst previous QC experience is desirable it is not essential.
The successful candidate will need to:
Ensure that all start up checks have been carried out by production team before production line is permitted to commence, and that any issues raised have been reported to relevant department.
Quality inspection of products against product specification & quality standards.
Audits of quality and food safety checks and paperwork being completed by production, including but not limited to label checks, metal detector checks, weight checks, machine start up checks, traceability and temperature.
Sample collection from every production run
Checking product safety, legality and quality at the start and end of the production run and regularly throughout the production run.
Identification of non-conforming product and processes and ensuring that Quality Technician and/or Quality Manager are informed as soon as possible.
Supporting production operatives and team leaders to ensure quality standards are met.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Standards

Hours – 39.75 hours/week as above and 41.25 hours/week for night shift
