We are on the lookout for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established engineering group in Bristol. The group have been in operation for almost 100 years, with a rich history in the area and have a reputation of delivering and exceeding customer expectation. With clients across the UK, Europe & Asia our client is looking to continue their busy order book for the foreseeable future.
The Quality Engineer ensures the products, processes, and procedures are safe and high-quality. They achieve this by working with different teams to find and fix quality problems quickly. The Quality Engineer also helps the company to make improvements all the time and directly contributes to making high-quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations, business goals, and all relevant regulations.
 
Quality Engineer Responsibilities

• Manages Quality Systems: Ensures compliance with AS9100 standards through audits, data analysis, and documentation.
• Leads Non-Conformance Resolution: Identifies quality issues, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions.
• Supports Continuous Improvement: Collaborates with teams on APQP projects and improvement initiatives.
• Facilitates Quality Planning and Control: Develops quality plans, manages first article inspections, and reviews contracts.
• Maintains Quality Documentation: Creates and maintains documents to support the quality management system (AQMS).
• Drives Problem-Solving: Identifies problems, facilitates solutions, and manages improvement projects.
• Supports New Product Introduction: Ensures smooth product introduction through quality monitoring.
• Conducts Inspections: Performs or oversees inspections throughout the production cycle.

 
Quality Engineer Skills and Qualifications

• Aerospace Quality Experience: Proven track record in Quality Engineering with expertise in AS9100 AQMS.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of technical documentation, data analysis, and mechanical engineering principles (BSc or equivalent).
• Quality & Communication Skills: Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication (written and verbal) across all levels.
• Quality Assurance Certifications: AS9100 Rev D Internal Auditor qualification and additional Quality Assurance qualifications (preferred).
