The Quality Engineer is responsible to ensure process and product quality by leading and organizing the different teams and areas of the organization. They will monitor relevant KPIs, process performance and field failures to identify technical issues and organize problem solving activities. Provides the documentation, tools, standards, and training needed to support the organization to meet quality standards and requirements.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
Monitor, process and analyse field failures data and customer complaint.
- Address relevant field failures, customer complaints, and quality problems by organizing and leading problem-solving team and resources following the established problem-solving process.
- Develop and implement Control Plans derived from FMEA for critical processes.
- Create and implement quality acceptance standards and quality standard procedures.
- Monitor quality KPIs, and organize corrective actions as required.
- Constantly provide feedback to the production teams on quality problems coming from different sources and support the problem-solving activities.
- Plan and conduct process and product audits to identify non-conformities and opportunities for improvement, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Support the New Product Introduction process by implementing Control Plan, and approving initial assembly documentation and process controls, and developing quality standards.
- Control nonconforming materials, organize Material Review Board (MRB) and manage the Return Material Authorization process (RMA).
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential:
- Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or electronical Engineering.
- Assembly and Electronic manufacturing experience.
- Leadership to manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience and knowledge in failure and root cause analysis techniques (Fault Tree Analysis, Is/Is-Not matrix, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience using data analysis (Box Plot, Scatterplot, Multi-Vary analysis, etc.)
- Self-disciplined, organized, and methodical.
- Experience as a Quality Engineer 3 years +.
Desirable:
- Industry sector experience in automotive, aerospace or electronics.
- Internal Auditor experience.
- Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Comprehensive and practical statistical engineering knowledge and application (Factorial DOE, Pre-Control, Statistical Process Control, Statistical Sampling, R&R etc.)
