A world class supplier within the engineering industry of a very niche product range is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team. Significant investment has enabled the company to acquire new contracts and grow the business. The company's product range is established throughout the UK and Europe with plans to branch out further next year which makes this a great time to join this lucrative organisation.
Role & Responsibilities:
o Review, follow and enforce product (including software and hardware) development processes and methods to ensure product quality throughout the design lifecycle
o Define test methods and create test plans for projects of new or updated software and hardware
o Contribute to the updates of company processes and procedures to ensure compliance with current requirements and standards
o Execute test plans and write test reports to describe program evaluation, testing and correction
o Develop appropriate QC test methods (WIs) for product release in collaboration with the QC department.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
o Input into FMEA's, Quality Auditing experience would be advantageous
o Degree qualified is preferable in an engineering or science discipline
o Previous experience as a Quality Engineer is needed - outside of that they will look at a Graduate with a year or 2 experience of working in a manufacturing or process engineering role
o Ensure own compliance with health and safety regulations
o Injection mould background would be desirable
o Experience working in a medical, pharmaceutical, Automotive or Aerospace industry would be desirable because of the standards you would have worked towards are very high which lends itself well to this business
