Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently collaborating with a major Defence client based in Reading to find a Quality Engineer to join their team and contribute to our client's commitment to excellence.
The Role
As the Quality Engineer, you'll be responsible for preparing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans alongside other documentation to uphold our client's high standards. Additionally, you'll provide crucial technical support for various projects, ensuring quality remains a top priority throughout.
The Quality Engineer role will involve coordinating and advising on Mechanical Quality requirements, overseeing the inspection function to guarantee thoroughness. Driving continuous improvement initiatives, you'll raise and implement Continuous Improvement Forms where necessary, contributing to our client's ongoing pursuit of excellence.
Conducting internal and external audits, with desirable experience in supplier auditing, you'll uphold our client's strong workshop HSE culture, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance at every step.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical engineering, coupled with solid Quality Assurance/Control experience, and possess knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems. Strong communication and report writing skills are essential for effective collaboration and documentation. Experience in regulated industries such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Aviation, or Construction is highly valued.
