Job Role:- Quality Engineer
Salary:- £33k to £40k on days (Dependant on Experience)
Purpose of the Job
The Quality Engineer is responsible for managing the Quality Inspection departments across all shop floor activities. This role ensures that adequate training and resources are in place to cover all activities. Responsibilities include investigating Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), handling concession and deviation requests, investigating customer complaints, booking customer witnesses, liaising with customers and suppliers, and carrying out internal audits.

- Work alongside the QA department regarding paperwork queries and issues
- Book customer witnesses
- Liaise with customers and suppliers
- Carry out internal audits
- Write and update operational procedures
- Create and update quality forms and documents
- Train inspectors and apprentices
- Check CAD drawings and study new drawings
- Manage the calibration system
- Perform other tasks as reasonably required by the company

Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
- An eye for detail and the ability to work to exacting standards
- Experience using various types of measuring equipment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn and develop as the company and role grow
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Epicor Vantage
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude and commitment
