Quality Engineer

Our client, a specialist medical device manufacturer, is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team.  Reporting to a skilled quality manager and as part of a large quality team, this role offers fantastic opportunities to learn from an organisation with a high commitment to training and ongoing personal development, including formal qualifications.  The role will be an important part of their quality function, with important BaU duties, as well as focusing on the implementation of their new EQMS System.  Duties will include: -

• Management of critical quality systems within the QMS.
• Document Control and Control of Records, ensuring compliance.
• Supplier / Customer / Internal Complaint System coordination.
• Reporting on key quality metrics.
• Performing internal and supplier quality audits.
• CAPA analysis and investigation.
• Championing the new EQMS System and working with other areas of the business to ensure the transition to the new system in seamless.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality which will include some or all of the following: -

• A relevant degree or equivalent (Engineer, Scientific, Business Management or Law ideal).
• Excellent document management experience.
• Excellent understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Data analysis skills.

The ideal candidate would also be able to show: -

• A background in Medical Devices with an understanding of the specific quality systems used in this area (eg ISO 13485).
• And / Or a deep understanding of EQMS systems and their implementation.
