AddressWe are looking for a Quality Control Engineer for one of our manufacturing clients.

The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring all product compliance against specification and quality
standards prior to delivery through regular independent inspections.

Easily commutable from Lincoln and the surrounding areas. Travel is a requirement of thi role, which will be discussed.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure all products meet quality standards required to minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction.
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections on units’ pre-delivery to sub-contractors (e.g. paint and sheet), including taking photos of units to monitor condition.
- Carry out goods inward inspections on any sub-contracted materials to ensure conformity against specification swiftly recording and raising any concerns over product quality as required.
- Involvement in ISO 9001 site audits (internal and external).
- Carrying out regular independent stage checks at key points in production process.
- Help the Group HSQE Manager and Site/Depot Manager investigate and close out customer complaints in a timely manner. Ensure feedback on product quality is delivered to production regularly and in a constructive manner, utilising toolbox talks.
- Drive Root Cause Analysis and provide robust and permanent corrective actions to prevent re-work due to Quality Issues.
- Assist in any third-party audits as required.
- Any other related duties as requested by management
- Help promote a positive quality culture throughout the business.
- Able and prepared to visit customer/supplier premises as required by the business.
Experience and Qualification:
- An experienced Quality Control Engineer with sound knowledge of root cause analysis, product inspections, ISO 9001 and so on.
- Background in managing Type approval and CoP is highly desirable.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is critical.
- Qualified welding inspector is highly desirable.
- Understanding of basic LEAN and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of quality management tools such as 8d, 5 whys, FMEA, ishikawa fishbone diagrams, fault tree analysis etc..
- Formal quality control qualification such as City & Guilds in assessment and quality assurance would be advantageous.
- Strong character, not afraid to raise examples of poor quality within a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong IT skills to include; MS office (specifically excel).
- Confident, Optimistic, resilient and welcomes change.
- Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working as a team.
