Quality Improvement Technician
Working Monday - Friday 39hrs per week
- Mon-Tues 9am-6pm,
- Wed-Thurs 9am-5pm,
- Fri 9am-4.30pm (39hrs)
15 min paid tea break and 30min unpaid lunch break daily.
Pay rate: £25-£26k, based on experience

As a Quality Improvement Technician, you will manage the product quality within the Wholesale Distribution Centre and will support process improvements.

Day to Day Duties:
• Complete quality inspections on products and services, including goods in checks, in a timely manner.
• Record all details of GIC in log, analyse and report on the outcomes of quality inspections to the Warehouse Manager.
• Work towards achieving set quality targets, implementation of solutions and pro-active improvement measures.
• Full and prompt investigation of issues and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Complete NCR/Purge including maintaining log, to provide Purchasing Department with clear and accurate details on recommendations and to reduce NCR’s etc.
• Complete Wholesale product checks through Random Quality checks (RQC’s)
• Complete document, calibration, and internal audits as per schedule, to ensure compliance with the company’s quality policy and procedures.
• Ensure that ISO documentation is continuously reviewed, and the most up-to-date versions are visually displayed and in use.
• Assist with the preparation for external quality audits
Essential Skills:
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a C grade pass in Maths and English
• 2 year’s recent relevant Quality experience working in a similar role.
• Relevant experience to demonstrate a working quality focus.
• Experience of working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Experience of inspection techniques
• Demonstrate experience of ISO/ Quality processes and procedures
• Good level of computer literacy, with a working knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Experience:
• Possess, or working towards a recognised Quality Auditor’s qualification.
• Demonstrate experience of successful change management, process improvements or utilization of continuous improvement techniques
• Navision / Blindata experience
• Experience in dealing with suppliers
