We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector for our Lancing fabrication client. The successful person is likely to be experienced in sheet metal fabrication or brake press operation and have undertaken some self–inspection work previously.
Skills Required
Ability to read technical drawings.
Quality control experience essential.
Computer literate in Word and Excel
Experience in Folding, Welding and Assembly.
Role Responsibilities
To ensure staff are carrying out work to the customer specifications and drawings.
To liaise with engineering to improve the efficiency and quality of how customer jobs are manufactured.
To help build a quality culture by helping and training staff in the best practices and methods of manufacture.
To monitor jobs flowing through production, keeping an eye on the quality of the parts being produced.
To check and inspect all new products before delivery to customer.
To maintain all machinery and tooling to enable safe and efficient running and to produce work to the best quality possible.
To help production supervisor and management ensure that staff works strictly within the guidelines set in the health and safety policy and that correct use of PPE is worn.
To maintain, restore and fix any fixtures and fittings around the premises and undertake any improvements that are required.
Hours: Mon–Thurs 8am–4.45pm, Fri 8am 3pm.
