Quality Inspector

We are seeking a permanent Dimensional Quality Inspector for a leading company in the precision engineering sector. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be crucial in ensuring that products meet specifications through thorough testing and inspection. Your role will involve validating incoming products and approving finished goods, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail. This position operates on a Monday to Friday day shift at a rate of £15.89 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approve finished products by performing visual and dimensional measurements.
• Validate incoming products to confirm they meet visual and dimensional specifications.
• Maintain and coordinate repairs for measurement equipment.
• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and regulations.
• Provide training and support to team members to enhance business operations.
• Collaborate with various departments and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Operate Mitutoyo CMM.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Competence in using standard engineering equipment and inspecting machined components.
• Experience in programming and operating Mitutoyo or Aberlink CMMs.
• Understanding of procedures for non-conforming products and customer specifications.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Faro Arms and Trimos Vertical Height Gauge.
