SalarySRG are excited to be working with a leading name in the animal nutrition business to help them find a Quality Lab Specialist to join the team near Edinburgh.
The role is a site based position offering someone a great opportunity to help lead lab activities and projects on site.

The Role:
- Lead and run projects, set up projects plans and ensure deadlines are met
- Lead the testing and analysis processes and programmes
- Support installation and setting up of equipment including ensuring calibrations
- Ensuring routine analysis is carried out and scheduled involving the use of wet chemistry, analytical methods and NIR
- Troubleshooting any issues and support of any process improvements
- Author procedures, guidelines and training documents
- Escalate any issues to senior management as required
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- Experience working in a similar Quality lab environment within food and drink, feed production or FMCG
- Experience working in a regulated environment and following GLP guidelines
- Ability to lead projects and work without supervision
- Proficient IT skills
- Experience using LIMS would be beneficial
- Skills with NIR (near infrared) testing would be advantageous
- Organised and self-sufficient approach to work
