Quality Laboratory Assistant

The Recruitment Group is currently working with one of the leading manufacturers of paper for hygienic and domestic use worldwide. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join our client based in Hamilton. Reporting to the Quality Supervisor this role plays a vital part in guaranteeing the availability of trustworthy data through the correct development of quality control lab activities. In this entry-level position, you will perform routine quality testing of products and provide analytical data based on your findings. Hours for this role are 06:00 - 14:00 /14:00 - 22:00.

Main Responsibilities:
. Prepare and carry out lab tests (raw materials and finished product) in accordance with the operational procedures.
. Streamline the laboratory processes and maintaining lab cleanliness.
. Analyse competitors' products according to defined methods
. Perform and maintain all laboratory equipment verifications and calibrations
. Promote a safety-bound corporate culture
. Ensure levels of quality of finished products and where necessary raise non compliances on the system.
