Quality Lead

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Lead for an established manufacturer of windows and doors at our clients Rayleigh site in Essex.
This Quality Lead position is a full-time permanent role working Monday – Friday 8am-4.30pm on a salary of up to £35,000 per annum for the right person. Within the Rayleigh site, there are approx. 120 staff on site, with 2 units and 2 offices. This role will be office based with a large part of time spent on the factory floor overseeing quality.
 
As Quality Lead, you will report into the Technical Manager and work closely with Production Managers to ensure highest quality products leave the factory, overseeing any issues with quality of goods received from suppliers and rectifying these issues. Please note this is a standalone role with no direct reports. Your core duties will include:

• Inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying mistakes or non-conformity issues
• Devising procedures to inspect and report quality issues
• Monitoring all operations that affect quality
• Supervising and guiding staff
• Ensuring the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes
• Appraising customers’ requirements and ensuring they are satisfied
• Reporting all malfunctions to production to ensuring immediate action
• Facilitating proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
• Reviewing current standards and policies
• Keeping records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation
• Ensuring all legal standards are met
• Reporting monthly quality reports i.e. COQ 

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience working within Quality Control within a manufacturing environment
• PVC and Aluminium Window Manufacturing background (or injection moulding) would be advantageous
• Experience with ISOs/ BSI Certifications or Auditing
• Must be process driven and tech/ IT savvy
• Experience of working in a standalone role would be advantageous
• Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. ISO9001)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organisation
