A sector renowned manufacturing company are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their site in the Halesowen area. As Quality Manager you will manage the Quality Assurance team and be responsible for the overall quality of products manufactured by the company ensuring they meet the agreed customer standards.
Bringing your substantial quality experience to the role, you will manage the QMS and implement any new procedures and processes to ensure quality compliance and make improvements where needed.
Working with the Supply Chain and Materials Management teams, you will ensure suppliers achieve and maintain the agreed standards and deliver components of the highest quality via supplier audits, supplier development and goods inwards inspection.
Benefits:
- Salary of up to c£60k dependent on experience
- Mon to Thurs 8am – 5pm and Fri 8am – 1pm
- 25 Days + BH
Key responsibilities of Quality Manager:
- Responsible for planning and leading Quality and Environment Audits in line with ISO9001 / 14001, and the preparation of reports
- Support FMEA and NPI to achieve Right First Time
- Provide QMS support to Operations Managers
- Warranty analysis to drive warranty improvements
- Drive CI / Lean improvements
- Where required, visit suppliers, locally or possibly globally
Skills, knowledge and qualifications required:
- Ideally Degree qualified in engineering / manufacturing or proven equivalent experience in similar role
- Proven management and leadership experience
- Ability to read specifications and drawings for standards
- Competent in the ‘quality’ sector and have high level of customer facing skills
- Well versed in ISO 9001 / 14001 standards
- Knowledge and experience with Lean / CI improvements
