Quality Packaging Technician

Due to work volumes, Office Angels have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary role with one of our market leading clients to join their Quality team as a Packaging Technician.

The role holder will work closely with the Quality and Operations teams such as Production and NPD and external packaging suppliers to ensure all new materials are robustly tested prior to approval, any quality issues on line are supported and investigated and be the day to day face of the Quality team.

Within this role, you will ultimately be responsible as the final checkpoint, for each high grade product batch that leaves the site. You'll be packing, setting-up, operating, monitoring and improving all automated packing equipment. Based in Livingston this role is Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM with a 4:30PM finish on Fridays, salary circa £37K dependant on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Taking great care to ensure all equipment is operating at agreed standards - Monitoring equipment performance, fault find and make appropriate adjustments.
• Working with the NPD team and suppliers evaluate new materials and artwork designs in the laboratory by using a variety of approved testing protocols.
• Ensure accurate records of all lab testing are kept, and report the results to the NPD and Quality Manager in a timely manner.
• Support the bottling line with any day to day issues they are experiencing.
• Work with the NPD and Planning Teams to schedule in line trials of new materials/artwork designs as required.
• Support the other Packaging Technicians with monthly meetings to review any on-going material issues or concerns, including but not limited to changes to material delivery specifications, new suppliers, changes to established materials.
• Ensuring good housekeeping standards are met within packaging area(s) and in accordance with cGMP.
• Take ownership of reporting any instances of non-conformance are communicated to management team.

Who We Are Looking For

Do you have:

• Ideally experience within packaging or bottling.
• Experience working within production or quality is essential.
• Good understanding of packaging process (bottling).
• Ability to analyse situations and support working towards identifying the root cause.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
