Quality Systems Manager

Scantec FMCG Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading FMCG Food Manufacturer on the Isle Of Bute to assist in their search for a Quality Systems Manager. This business is going from strength to strength with a huge amount of investment which is on-going.  

Role Purpose: 

The Quality Systems Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality management systems. This position aims to drive excellence in quality assurance processes, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Systems Manager plays a critical role in shaping and maintaining a robust framework to uphold the highest standards of product quality and safety. 

Hours:   

40 hours per week 

8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Quality Systems Manager – Key Accountabilities:  

• Design, implement, and manage comprehensive quality management systems, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulations, and organizational objectives. 
• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of Quality Systems. 
• Stay current with evolving food safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring that the organization remains in full compliance. 
• Oversee the creation, revision, and control of all quality-related documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions. 
• Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders. 
• Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all employees are well-versed in quality management systems, procedures, and compliance requirements. 
• Plan, conduct, and lead internal audits to assess compliance with Quality Systems and identify areas for improvement. 
• Identify opportunities for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of quality management systems. 
• Drive initiatives to improve overall product quality, reduce errors, and optimize operational processes. 
• Develop and implement risk management processes within Quality Systems to identify and mitigate potential quality-related risks.

Skills & Experience required:  

Seeking a candidate with strong experience in a Quality Management role within FMCG. A proven track record of successfully implementing and managing Quality Systems. Ideally a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality Management, Food Science, or a related field. 

Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Expert knowledge of quality management principles, ISO standards, HACCP, and other relevant quality assurance methodologies.
