Quality Technician

Your new company
An extremely reputable manufacturing company in the Craigavon area who have recently expanded their business. Due to their increase in orders the have a requirement to increase the quality team.

Your new role
As Quality Technician you will be responsible for the inspection of Raw Materials - Polyethylene resins (Melt Flow Rate, Oxygen Induction, Density). You will batch Release Testing of Product (Impact, Crush, Tensile, Friction, Pressure Testing) and carry out dimensional Inspection using Pi Tapes, Verniers, Micrometers, Depth Gauges. Completion of visual Inspection using Microscopes. Non Conforming Materials control including disposition of product which is quarantined or on hold. Calibration of Measuring Equipment. Technical awareness and development of Product. Occasional customer interfaces. Recording of Product Conformity Data onto spreadsheets and Databases. Control, compliance and management of resin deliveries.
Hours of work:
The hours are the continental shifts, 2 weeks of days (7am-7pm) and two weeks of nights (7pm-7am)

What you\'ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be capable and/or willing to use cutting tools such as jigsaws, bandsaws, drills, stamping tools for sample preparation, experienced in use of measuring equipment ie., use of Pi Tapes, Verniers, Micrometers, Depth Gauges, however training will be given. Possess an analytical, cautious and questioning approach. Able to show decisiveness in making judgements based on facts re. product release. Know how to assess the risk of product non conformity to its application, the scope of risk to product stock and to customer, and to understand all cost impacts.
