Quality Technician

Are you passionate about quality and process improvement? Do you excel at inspection work with strict attention to detail? Our client's tight-knit quality team needs a meticulous technician to validate manufacturing precision for leading rail, aerospace, and defense clients.  

As their Quality Technician, you will:  

- Perform critical first article inspections, generating necessary certifications.
- Complete evaluations at key production stages, documenting internal rejects with accuracy.
- Craft new SOPs and calibrate measuring equipment to bolster quality assurance.
- Verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and geometric tolerances.   
- Master inspection devices like Faro arms; train junior technicians on equipment.  
- Help implement new techniques like automation, AI, and machine learning to advance quality testing.

The ideal candidate has:

- Sheet metalwork/engineering/manufacturing experience 
- Rail/aerospace/defense sector familiarity would be a PLUS  
- Proficiency with measurement tools and reading drawings 
- Computer literacy and data analysis skills 
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Attentive nature, energy, and flexibility

The successful Quality Technician will start with a salary of £28k + 25 days holiday plus banks + Standard pension, etc.
