Our client, Inscyte is a specialist project management consultancy working exclusively within the public sector on PFI and other long-term contracts; offering value for money to their clients and make a real difference to public sector or public facing organisations, be that in Education, health, or social care. They are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support their major Midlands based client – proven commercial professional with experience in contract management, refurbishment/works, and Contractual and Statutory Compliance.
Quantity Surveyor, the role:
- Controlling all expenditure
- Reconciling cost/value and contractual monthly reports & financial forecasts
- Acting as informed client overseeing the performance of subcontractors/suppliers
- Managing day to day contract management of Hard and Soft FM delivery against contractual obligations
- Processing subcontractor requests for payment via application & invoice
- Attending and/or leading project and company related meetings
- Ensuring timely cash flow management
- Maintaining and developing professional relationships with clients and customers
Quantity Surveyor, the person:
- Degree or other technical qualification
- Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor
- Knowledge of internal and external planned maintenance programmes
- Ability to lead a small team
- Strong commercial and contractual performance awareness
- Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget
- Negotiating, communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Supply Chain management
- RICS / CIOB qualification – Desirable
