Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
You will be joining an industry-leading Tier 1 contractor based in Derby working on a major water framework in the Midlands region. This organisation has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector and they offer excellent opportunities for career progression and personal development, including chartership. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor you will be based in their Derby office and be responsible for, but not limited to, negotiating and appointing subcontractors to schemes, managing subcontractor packages from appointment to final account, submitting all valuations and variations on schemes, providing monthly cost reports in line with project budgets as well as liaising with site teams.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will ideally hold a degree/HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying and have previous experience surveying on heavy civils schemes (ideally in the water and/or utilities sectors). You will be well-versed with NEC3 and/or NEC4 suite of contracts and be financially astute. Finally, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well as part of a team and independently.
