Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. Your role will involve analyzing project specifications, conducting cost assessments, and providing accurate cost advice to ensure projects are completed within budget.
Duties:
- Prepare and analyze project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost benefit analyses for potential projects
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather project information
- Evaluate contractor bids and negotiate contracts
- Monitor project progress and provide regular cost reports to stakeholders
- Identify potential cost-saving measures and recommend value engineering options
- Review and approve contractor payment applications
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify work completed
- Resolve any disputes or claims related to costs or variations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficient in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
Skills:
- Cost control: Ability to effectively manage project costs and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
